Bicentennial Mission Statement and Goals

Mission Statement

  We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where all students are inspired to become critical and creative communicators, thinkers and explorers of knowledge for life.

Goals for 2008-2009

1.  To reduce the number of students reading below grade level, thereby increasing academic achievement.

2.  To increase teacher and student understanding of the science curriculum and inquiry based learning in order to improve proficiency on NECAP science assessment.

3.  To promote meaningful communication with all constituents in order to insure academic, emotional and social needs of all students are met.

4.  To increase the student’s ability to produce meaningful and high quality written communication in all subject areas, as measured by the end of the year writing response and 5^th grade NECAP writing assessment.

5.  To reduce the number of students who are performing below grade level in the area of math, thereby increasing academic achievement.
