You will learn all aspects of the food service industry including safety and sanitation, standardization, large and small equipment usage, menu planning, handling and storage techniques, and advanced cooking techniques. Good nutrition, table service and careers in the industry will also be covered. The laboratory experience will allow you to develop culinary abilities related to classroom theory. This course is strongly recommended for students who are seriously considering a career in the food service industry.

Learn the basic principles of nutrition, food preparation, meal planning, and table service. Use new and different methods of meal planning and preparation.
