First grade is a year of great growth in both academics and independence.
- The Scott Foresman Reading Program is used to support reading growth. We want the children to be fluent and thoughtful readers.
- Everyday Math is used to support math. This program enables the children to learn mathematical concepts as well as become life long mathematical thinkers.
- Our science units cover Living Things, Senses, States of Matter, and Air, Sun & Water.
- Our Social Studies program focuses on School, Family, and Community
