Grade 4 Team

Mrs. Estell, Mrs. Deschenes and Mrs. Conlin
Fourth grade marks the transition from primary to intermediate grades. We build and expand upon the strong foundations of learning established in the early grades. It is the time when we ask our students to become more independent, more responsible, and more accountable for their home and class assignments. We work on developing organizational and study skills as they are a prerequisite to future academic success.
Similar to the lower grades, the fourth grade program emphasizes a student's development of creativity, problem-solving abilities and higher order thinking. Good character, respect for others and responsibility are stressed constantly. These values are incorporated into every student's daily experience in fourth grade.
While we place a strong emphasis upon the Nashua School District's adopted programs and curricula, our overriding goal is to foster a love of learning and a positive attitude towards school in order to create life-long learners, readers, thinkers, and problem solvers.
